Read For Good’s Big Holiday Read – we’re taking part!

Hello everyone!

It’s the start of the second week of our summer holidays and we wanted to tell you about one of the things we’re doing over the summer.

A couple of weeks ago we signed up to take part in Read For Good’s Big Holiday Read. The aim of the Big Holiday Read is to read as much as you can over the holidays and ask people to sponsor you for doing it. The money that’s raised goes to Read For Good who use the money to provide books to children who are in hospital.

When our mum told us about this, we knew straight away that we wanted to do it. We love to read anyway and we definitely wanted to be able to help other children get great books to read. We didn’t like to think of children in hospital, especially if they were really bored as well as being poorly.

We’re away on holiday with our mum, dad, nanny and grandad this week but we’ve still been finding lots of time to read.

Toby has been reading The Brilliant World of Tom Gates by Liz Pichon and Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People by Dav Pilkey.

Alex has been reading Mold and the Poison Plot by Lorraine Gregory, Spectre Collectors: Too Ghoul for School by Barry Hutchison and Alex Sparrow and the Really Big Stink by Jennifer Killick.

Casper has been reading Wave Me Goodbye by Jacqueline Wilson and The Chestnut Soldier by Jenny Nimmo.

We would love to raise as much money as possible for children who are spending their summer holidays in hospital and we would love it if you wanted to sponsor us so that we can do that. Don’t forget that the money we raise will be sent to Read For Good so that they can provide books to the children in hospital. >> CLICK HERE TO SPONSOR US <<

Thanks for reading,
