Dav Pilkey's eighth epic novel promises evil, horror, and "laffs," and delivers on all three. In this rowdy episode, George and Harold take a wrong turn somewhere and wind up in a surrealistic alternate reality where everything defies expectation. As they try to adjust to a realm where teachers are nice and cafeteria food is good, our heroes encounter evil versions of themselves. Unless our dynamic duo can stop them, these diabolical twins plan to destroy their hometown.

I have read three or four of the Captain Underpants books and I liked them all but I think this one is my favourite.

George and Harold accidentally travel to another realm and find themselves in an opposite world. They find out that they have evil twins and they have to stop them from taking over the world!

I really liked how funny this book was and I liked it when all of the bad guys acted like good guys and had real jobs. I also liked the characters Boxer Boy and Great Granny Girdle because they were funny and George and Harold wrote a comic book about them.

This book made me want to read all of the other Captain Underpants books because they are proper good. I’ve asked my mum if we can get them.

I would recommend this book to people who like to laugh and people who don’t mind lots of underpants in their stories!
