Izzy and her friends are SO EXCITED about their school trip. They're going camping and there'll be marshmallows and no washing and everything. But then WEIRD things start happening! There are howling sounds at night, and some sausages have gone missing, and it's nearly a full moon...But it's when they see their new teacher's hairy legs that they KNOW! There's a werewolf on the school trip and they're all DOOMED!

This is me reading There’s A Werewolf In My Tent in the car.

The author of this book is Pamela Butchart and there are 285 pages. I would have liked more pages because the story was really good and I didn’t want it to end. I got the book from Waterstones in the city where we live, it’s one of my favourite bookshops. When I saw the book on display, I was really excited because I’ve read lots of books by Pamela Butchart before and they are amazing!

The characters in this story are Izzy, Maisie, Zach and Jodi. They all went on a school camping trip and lots of bad things happened, like when they got lost in the wilderness. They started to think there was a werwolf on the loose in the campsite. My favourite part was at the end when Maisie didn’t want to leave the campsite even after everything they had been through.

In my opinion, this book was so good. I wasn’t able to put it down and I just had to read it as much as I could. I got it on Monday and finished on Tuesday after school.

If you haven’t read a Pamela Butchart book before then I think you should read one as soon as you can. At the library we go to, they have some Pamela Butchart books so you should check your library too.

This is me the next day, reading in my favourite chair.

  1. Thank you, Alex: this is such a great review. I was wondering if we could maybe use bits of it on a cover of a book one day. Let me know by writing to I am the managing director of Nosy Crow, and we publish lots of Pamela Butchart’s books.
